At the age of only 25, Lothar Schütz and his wife Renate founded the company Schütz Kunststofftechnik in the stable and barn of a former farm in the centre of Großwallstadt. The first years were mainly dominated by the production of clothes hangers.

1980:

In 1980, the company was founded by Lothar and Renate Schütz. The business idea was to produce clothes hangers for the local clothing industry at that time.

1981:

Start of production of clothes hangers for the regional sales market.

1982:

The production of card index boxes was added to the product portfolio.

1983:

Purchase of an injection moulding machine from Battenfeld with a clamping force of 1100 kN for the production of trouser hangers.

1985:

Production of technical plastic parts for the electrical industry.

1986:

Production expansion through the purchase of a Boy 15VH for overmoulding insulating parts. Entry as a supplier for the automotive industry

1990-1999:

At the end of the 90s, space became scarce in the old barn in the town centre.
After initial planning of additional buildings at Hauptstraße 7, the decision was made to build a new production and office building in the industrial area at Einsteinstraße 7, the current location of Schütz Kunststofftechnik GmbH.

1991:

Planning of a production and storage hall at Hauptstraße 7. Establishment and introduction of a QA system according to VDA guidelines.

1993:

Planning of the office and production building at Einsteinstraße 7

1994:

Construction of the office and production building at Einsteinstraße 7

1995:
Relocation of production from Hauptstraße 7 to Einsteinstraße 7, initially with 10 injection moulding machines with a clamping force of up to 800 kN.

1996:
For strategic and practical reasons, it was decided to set up our own tool shop. Foundation of Schütz Werkzeugbau GmbH.
Location of the tool shop initially at Lindenstraße 25 in Großwallstadt.

1998:
Die Schütz Kunststofftechnik GmbH ist seit 1998 ISO 9001 Zertifiziert.

1997:

Expansion of production at Schütz Kunststofftechnik GmbH and founding of the LDC department, responsible for logistics and handling of the advertising media business.

2000-2009:

At the turn of the millennium, the locations of Schütz Kunststofftechnik and Schütz Werkzeugbau were still several hundred metres apart.
The acquisition of existing production and office buildings, which were located directly at the plastics technology site, brought the companies together.

2001:
Purchase of the property and current building of Schütz Werkzeugbau GmbH at Industriering 24, which directly adjoins Einsteinstraße 7 of Schütz Kunststofftechnik GmbH. The property was purchased from the Hauck company. The relocation of Schütz Werkzeugbau GmbH did not take place until a few months later.2002:
The neighbouring property of Schütz Werkzeugbau GmbH at Industriering 26 was acquired.
Construction of another warehouse for Schütz Kunststofftechnik GmbH.

2003:
Acquisition of an injection moulding machine from Krauss-Maffei with a clamping force of 1750 kN.
Schütz Werkzeugbau GmbH moves from Lindenstraße 25 to Industriering 24.
At the same time, LDC, which was located at Lindenstraße 25, moved to Einsteinstraße 7.

2004:
Enlargement of the office space in Einsteinstraße 7 by extending the offices from previously one floor to now two floors.
Enlargement of the office space from approx. 130 sqm to over 250 sqm.

2007:

Planning and construction of a further production hall at Einsteinstraße 9, to expand production capacity and space.

2008:

Move into the new production hall at Einsteinstraße 9. The production area was more than doubled from the previous approx. 900 sqm to over 2000 sqm.

2009:

Further increase in production capacities and in the injection moulding machine range >1500kN.

seit 2010:

In 2010, the machine park in the >200 t range was expanded from the previous KM 350 by another 3 machines. This meant that more storage capacity was needed for raw material and finished parts.
The planning of the warehouse capacity expansion was started. In 2011, the construction of the new warehouse began.

2011:
The building of the former Colordruck GmbH in Industriering 22 was purchased. During extensive restructuring, the shipping and receiving department was relocated to Industriering 22. In addition, the construction of a new warehouse with a future area for shipping and receiving began.

2012:

Completion of the new warehouse with over 1,000 pallet spaces and a new shipping area with loading ramps at Industriering 22.

2013:

Expansion of the machine park and performance spectrum through the acquisition of an injection moulding machine with 6500 kN clamping force and the acquisition of a multi-component machine with 2000 kN clamping force and a rotary table.

2014:

Modernisation of the machine park in the 300 kN to 1500 kN range.

2018:

Schütz Kunststofftechnik GmbH has been IATF16949 certified since 2018.

2019:

Introduction of computer-aided production data acquisition.

2020:

Michael Schütz becomes sole managing director.

2022:
